[By this point, Riku's figured out that he's being somehow compelled to tell the truth.

And that is not cool.

Riku's a kid that has to be in control at all times. And not being in control of what he's saying? -Bothers him.- He doesn't like it; he doesn't know what people are going to ask. He's got an image to maintain! He doesn't want to risk people cracking that.

So Riku is hurrying up to grab something for breakfast before disappearing for the day--he's not going to let this trip up his plans, but he's not planning on talking to anyone until he knows that this affliction has gone away.

Oh, how the universe loves irony.]

[Jinx had actually listened to Blues for once ever and now understands that he cannot lie at all. This had already been proved a terrible thing after the Ironhide Incident, leaving him with a crudely splinted finger.

Jinx has decided that he might as well leave his room more often and maybe even grab a bite to eat every few moons. But for some strange reason, Riku always seems to be there at the same time. Jinx grabs the usual: a bagel, a coffee, and a carrot and takes a seat next to the silver headed child.

As they say, great minds think alike. And the 'they' in this case happens to be Jinx.]

[Ouch, if he ever needed to add insult to injury... Riku frowns a little to himself as Jinx takes the seat beside him--hasn't he gotten tired of this thing yet?

Oh, well. Clearly the only solution to this is to make the first touch again, just like he did last time. That had worked surprisingly well.]

I'm surprised you weren't one of the ones that ended up chained to their beds. Might have kept you out of trouble for a while.

[Only then he notices the splint. Oh-ho-ho...]

[Jinx breaths in hard through his teeth at Riku's remark. It's cool and all that you care about Jinx's well being but way to rub salt in those wounds. He looks forward the whole while.]

I'm surprised ya' weren't either. Then ya' wouldn't be here talkin' shit.

[Jinx wants to ignore that last bit, but his answer comes out faster than he wanted.]

[He may be inflecting downward on that last word, but don't get him wrong, it's a definite question, Jinx. He's noticed that a lot of people who weren't chained up seemed to have the same issue he does, and he's going to have a bit of fun with it.]

Riku is having to restrain himself from grabbing Jinx off that seat of his. -He's- the entire reason why all that happened to Kairi? The reason why she'd been in danger and why someone had -died-? Kairi had been -upset- about the fact that someone had died protecting her, and it was all because this idiot couldn't shut his fool mouth and keep away from the alcohol?

Oh, yes. Riku is -pissed.-]

It seems to me like the most dangerous passenger on this ship is you. It's dangerous for other people to know you.

[Yeah, you'd -better- leave, Jinx! Riku gets up and follows him only a couple steps before reaching out with the intent of laying a hand on Jinx's shoulder.]

If anything ever happens to Kairi because of something you've done, I won't hold back.
