[At first, Riku wasn't going to say anything. But being that he is, in fact, an arrogant awesome brat, he can't resist. So when he speaks, you can hear the smirk in his voice.]
Hey. Nice job yesterday, guys. That was a pretty good game.
[And he's even being sincere! How about that.
Riku's a bit bruised up from his bout with Pamela; you won't be able to see the long bruise on his side from where she hit him, but the two dark stripes on his neck from her broom are readily visible, and Riku's not making any attempts to hide them at all. These are his battle scars, his badge of honor; they're something that tells the world that he is one badass kid. Or something, who even really knows.
Riku won't be taking a break though; the game might be over but he's still on the move. You'll be able to find him all over the ship today--he'll be in the forest on deck 3 first, just wandering the forest a bit, then he'll be on deck 12 looking through the luggage for anything that might be helpful in building a tree-house. (Hey, maybe next it'll be a little boat they can sail around the caverns! That might be fun...) He'll be checking out the statue on deck 18 (cautiously, though, things aren't always what they seem), wandering around the flower-field to see if there's actually anything interesting (hey, graves? Hmmm...), and of course hitting up the Coffee Shop for breakfast and later on The Cool and Kuma-Ko for lunch and dinner.
Feel free to run into him anywhere; winning capture the flag has put him in a pretty good mood!]

I can tell you that people who leave don't necessarily die. Supposedly I've been here before.
...What do you mean when you say the ship is an illusion?
no subject
Doesn't mean anything. You could just be a different 'you' than the one who was here before.
I mean is not really a ship, just like the sky isn't really what we see it as. That one fits the best, given how so much on this ship doesn't 'fit' for a ship. Or, really, anything.

[You'd better -believe- he's thinking about the conversation he had with Kairi right now. She'd been upset thinking that Sora had died--and even if he had even if Riku didn't care if he had, it was still better to see Kairi hopeful.]
You mean like the flower deck, or the caverns. Right? Things that can't logically be a part of a ship but are somehow here.
no subject
False hope can be a harmful thing.
*He sighs and opens his eyes again, nodding a bit*
Those are some of the most obvious ones, yes.
no subject
[Riku leans back against the statue again, folding his arms.]
So what do you think this place is, then?
no subject
A prison.
Or it might as well be, since we can't leave. As for something more defined than that...I've no idea. It might even be its own world for all I know.
no subject
Still, "its own world"... But Riku remembers the way Marco reacted the last time they talked, so he won't be offering that much.]
Maybe it is. There are a lot of worlds out there.
no subject
Apparently. I don't think any of us can really tell with this place yet, though. If its its own world, and Redd's really in control of it...I don't really like the picture that paints, but its one of the possiblities.
no subject
If this ship is its own world, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. But even if Redd is in control of the world, he's got weaknesses.
no subject
Of course he must, everyone and everything has weaknesses...its just a matter of if we can find them in time or not.
no subject
[Riku's smirking as he says it. See how easily he snuck himself into that group, Marco?]
no subject
Yep. Its hard, but its not really hopeless as far as I can tell. Just not something that's going to be done overnight.
no subject
No good plan of action ever was, anyways.
no subject
True. The problem here is there are a lot of people who don't have the patience to do it right.
no subject
A lot of people may not have the patience to do it right, but we don't need an army. It's not like everybody has to be in on it from the start, anyway.
no subject
I haven't moved past the 'information gathering' stage myself, not really.
no subject
no subject
It can be dangerous to make a plan without all the information. We don't seem to be at a point where we need to move quickly--at least not on the issues of Redd or the ship as a whole--so its best to take our time and actually think.
*Marco kinda likes Riku...not often you find kids smart enough to step back and think over things*
how did i miss this notif i don't even
[heeeeeeey that mean Marco's gonna let Riku have that video now? Maybe?]
they're sneaky buggers
*If not...there was always a use for distractions
And no, sorry B|*
I'm not sure if I'm more interested in just finding a way out or taking down Redd, really. I guess I'll need to figure that out, too.
no subject
You sure they're not one and the same? If Redd really is in control of this world, he'll control the exits, too.
[Not that Riku's convinced yet that this isn't just a world that hasn't had its walls pulled down by the Heartless. But he'll give Marco the benefit of the doubt.]
no subject
*He shrugs. Marco will probably end up going for trying to take Redd down as far as he can*
Not something we need to worry about yet, though.
*He pauses, looking Riku over for a few moments*
In the meantime, you wanna help out if something like Jennifer happens again?
no subject
Riku's smart though, he sees exactly where Marco's going with this.]
You mean that watch group that was being set up? No thanks.
[Normally he would just leave it at that, but after having talked with Marco for so long he feels he owes the guy an explanation. If only because he was just talking about doing something and then turning down a chance to do just that.]
Something like that comes up, I'll help out. But I don't want to be part of a group. I'll do what needs to be done instead.
no subject
I can understand that.
I'd call it more of a 'task force' than a 'watch group,' but I guess its all the same.
*'Watch group' sounds too...Big Brother-y. Marco doesn't want it to sound like that, since that's not really what its supposed to be*
no subject
["Watch group" may sound big brother-y, but "task force" sounds like they should be building houses or cleaning up after disasters
like the one that took place in the casino the day before.]Anyway, something happens, let me know what's going on.
