[011//Audio & Commentlog] More 4th wall fun :D

K--Kairi!

[Riku sounds surprised, but also excited. What has he found?]

You've got to come see this. Deck 12--around the left side of the luggage.

[Riku's on the luggage deck, off to one side sitting on the floor. Scattered around him is an entire collection of interesting things, including a bunch of Disney movies--but what -Riku's- looking at is a game. Yeah, he's holding Kingdom Hearts I and II, and is staring at them both. There's a PlayStation 2 nearby, and you can bet he's planning on figuring out how to play these things.

What in the -worlds- has he found here?]

[You're just jealous that you can't pull it off, Riku.]

Well, I was but... [He glances around, hand ruffling the back of his hair.] I ended up here out of nowhere. [Up he gets, a good head and a half taller than you, pipsqueak.]

[Hey, he did what he had to do. And it's paid off for him--he's found Kairi -twice- now, which is more than Sora could say. He relied on luck, on finding her somewhere out there in all the worlds, while Riku went out and actively -searched-.]

It seemed to me you were more preoccupied with showing off that Keyblade than you were searching for Kairi.

[Kairi has, a bit. But he hasn't asked her to tell him everything and she hasn't offered. So long as he's on the Elegante, he's safe from Maleficent's corruption--so long as he's here, the only darkness he has to deal with is his rivalry with Sora.]

[It -is- odd, but it's kind of amusing at the same time.]

Must not be that good of one, then. If he'd gotten that memo, you wouldn't be here in the first place, would you?

[OMG! SORA! HUG!]

Sora!

[Best. New passenger. Day. Ever. Well, one of two really. You know, she's not going to waste time thinking about it. Instead she drags Sora over join her and Riku.]

Who knows? On this ship, it probably does. Oh! What's it doing?

[There are heartless. And a sword. And some weird stair-things. And now Sora's shadow is a heartless.

Wait, what? Kairi is looking at you, Riku. You are not in this game yet. How did a shadow-Sora get there, hmm?]

I have been summoneddddd. [He deepens his voice, faking a mystical sort of look. He flips on the Glide for a second too, just for effect.]

[But his grin had faltered just a little as Riku shunned him--however, he was effectively bowled over by an overly excited Kairi. Welp, that was enough incentive for him! He hugs her back, arms hefting her off the ground for a second or two, before plopping back down to the ground with her.

Strongman Sora is strong. *flex*]

Whoa whoa, is that me? ...But.. It's little me! [Questioning look at Riku.] Where did you find this?

Hey, I didn't do anything!

[Riku protests as Kairi shoots him that look, holding up both hands, the controller still in one. Has he been pointedly ignoring Sora and Kairi? You bet he has.]

He walked towards the light and the Heartless grew up out of his shadow.

[That's all the explanation you'll get, though, as Riku is now beating on the Heartless. Once he finishes and the Heartless begins to collapse, though, he'll glance back towards Sora, though it's obvious by his expression that he's only answering the question because he -has- to.]

I found it around the deck. You find a lot there.

[He's only holding his tongue because Kairi's here, Sora. -Not- because he forgives you one bit.]

[Kairi smiles. If Riku says it, she'll believe it. And besides, other things are happening on screen, leaving her oblivious to the tension in the background.

Tiny!her is on screen, with Sora and Riku and... She's laughing again. She still can't believe how easily the pair of them rise to a challenge. Speaking of which-]

Hey look! You're out on the little island, Riku! Go see if you can fight yourself!

[He huffs a little at Riku's curt reply, waiting till his gaze is back on the TV before pulling a snarky little face, tongue out and all. Take that, back-of-Riku's-head. Bitty head. Yeah.

Still. He scoots closer as Kairi babbles on about the game, head canting slightly. This was all very familiar. It was his game, of course. He knew. It was titled Kingdom Hearts, for heaven's sake. But it didn't seem to bother him. Oh well.]

Yeah! Go whoop your butt, Riku. [Hadn't he failed there? Yeah, something like that. Or maybe he had beaten Riku? The Darkness won in the end, anyway. Sora bumped shoulders with Kairi, unintentionally or not.]

[At least he didn't say that maybe you could find an exit, Sora? Riku grins at Kairi's direction, taking tiny!Sora up to the island and approaching the smaller avatar of him, sitting on the paopu tree. "I already gave Kairi my stuff. How about a duel? C'mon, grab your sword."]

All right, here goes.

[In all honesty, Riku's not doing too badly. A couple of the tiny!Riku's tricks catch him (and he's grinning at it, he can't help it, it's so -weird- to see his fighting recreated onscreen), but Riku's holding his own pretty well!

That is, until he purposely jumps Sora off the edge of the island. As the onscreen Sora laments that the score is now 0 to 1, he grins over at Kairi.]

After all, might as well keep it true to reality, right?

[Between the shoulder-bump and the boys' comments, Kairi finally realizes she's in the middle of a fight just waiting to happen.

She laughs awkwardly. Well, if they're going to fight, then she's just going to lean over and ease the game controller out of Riku's hands. No sense in breaking things in the process.

For a moment, she considers warning them about the Captain and punishments. But no, if they really hurt each other then it'll serve them right.]</small;

[Sora is a Saint and has no idea what you are thinking about, Kairi, my dear girl. Riku is to blame. All of it. Totally his fault.

Or most of it is. Maybe Maleficent's fault. Mostly hers. But Sora could blame Riku on principal, even if it was simply in joust.]

Hey, no fair! I could've won that fight! You're cheating. [He's unawares of Kairi's notions, or thoughts, for the moment. Riku is cheating.]

[Even though Kairi's stolen the game controller right out from under his hands, Riku's still smirking.]

You can't call it cheating if that's what really happened.

[He nudges Kairi with his elbow, ignoring the rest of Sora's protests.]

C'mon, let's get past the islands. We already know this part!

[Kairi is already there. Finding the items on her own list could not have been easier.]

Heh, it doesn't look like we can yet.

[Cutsene! Oooh she remembers this conversation. It was kind of awkward. Oh well! Hey wait--

Kairi looks from Sora to Riku, grinning.]

You gave Sora a paopu?

[Don't laugh. Don't laugh. It's really kind of sweet. Don't laugh!]

[Oh gods. This conversation. His ears are burning, and just to ignore the on goings on the screen, he turns that scarlet face towards his ~~older~~ younger friend.]

I beat you at least once or twice, don't lie. [Arms folded over his chest in quite the huff.]

It's in the job description! And since I am under orders to play nicely-nicely, I will be trolling instead of my usual job!

[Sorry, Sora, Riku's ignoring you in lieu of what Kairi's saying. Don't laugh at him Kairi, it was a joke! A joooooke.]

Oh, c'mon, Kairi, I was just messing with him!

[He may be still smirking, but that doesn't mean there's not the possibility of a slight red tinge across his face. That conversation was all well and good when he was teasing Sora about Kairi, but how does he explain that to -her-?!]

[That laugh. Is the weirdest thing ever. It's kind of awesome.

But unfortunately Riku is still wearing that face ~~I TOLD YOU IT WAS FOREVER~~. Because what. WHAT.]

...I think I'll pass.

[He can -totally- pull off being flippant! He just doesn't when there's nothing to be flippant over. LIKE RIGHT NOW!

For a moment, Riku doesn't respond. He's thinking about this thing--Sora's here now. What does this mean for him and Kairi? Of course, it's just like Sora to come in and botch it up when things seem to be going so well. That, in addition to his memories of what Sora said last time, solidify his resolve.

In the back of his mind, though, he hears Oogway, reminding him that people often say things they don't mean.

But he ignores it.]

Seems to me like that sort of thing isn't too unfamiliar for you. Where's your gummi ship?

[He knows in his heart that Sora's been pulled here, too, just the same as him, but he doesn't want it to be true.]

[Sora knows why Riku is mad at him. Doesn't like him anymore. Doesn't want him around. But... He's not sure if he should say anything. The knowledge could corrupt something if he doesn't find out the right way or something, or-!

He sighs. This is really complicated, for being so simple.]

If you see it, let me know. I don't know how I got here. I just.. Woke up here. At first I was worried I'd gotten lost or kidnapped or something, but if you and Kairi are here, it's okay.

[A chuckle from his end. You have a point there.] Maybe, maybe not. He's a pretty stubborn guy.

[And a very dead guy, but besides the point.]

[Riku's smirking--this is the oddest thing, but it's funny, too.]

Yeah, well, doesn't seem like anything we'd have trouble with.

You don't want to hear about how he mistakes Xemnas's boyfriend for you? Or about the horrible torture you put Sora's clone through? The prologue that took ten hours? It's great!

[MORE STARING. SORRY, NOT MUCH VARIANCE IN EXPRESSION HERE.]
