[010//Audio & Commentlog] BUT REALLY THERE ARE NORMALLY -SIX- WALLS...
[Everything's back to normal now. No weird age changes, he's not stuck in some girl's body, and he managed to make it through the past two days without finding himself trapped in someone else's body! All in all, an interesting week. But today something odd is going on--today, there are plenty more people than he's seen on this boat before.]
So where are all these new passengers coming from? There's a lot more than usual. And I thought I saw...
[He trails off. He was fairly sure he'd seen someone who looked just like the girl he'd met at the masquerade... but she'd been -different-, too. It was almost like there were -copies- of people here, too.]
Never mind. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the forest.
[That's where Riku's going to be spending most of his day, but it's not the only place you'll find him. Riku's working on that treehouse again, and so he needs tools. He'll be rummaging through the luggage on deck 12 for nails and a hammer and all sorts of fun things, he'll be outside the forest on deck 3 to take a swim, and later on, he'll be in the caverns, not for any real purpose but instead just to think.
You'll find him anywhere, all over the ship today, so feel free to run into him anywhere!]

Luggage Deck
Though the 20-something appearing Sora walking out of that box wearing the jeans, t-shirt, zip-up hoodie and the red trainers should catch your attention.] Hm... where've we landed this time?
[... and the British accent. WTF, man.]
no subject
[Riku pauses in his searching, standing up from a crouch as the police box comes into view. Thaaaaaat's not something you see every day. That's not something he's -ever- seen, actually, and he can't deny that his interest has been piqued by its appearance.
Only then Sora steps out.
Riku scowls, but at the same time--it's -not- Sora, either. That much is obvious from the accent. What is -with- that accent? So instead of shooting off a sarcastic comment like he might have otherwise, Riku rests one hand at his waist.]
The M.S. Elegante. Are you bringing a way out?
[You can take the sarcastic out of the comment, but it still doesn't make you sound any less sardonic, Riku.]
no subject
[He's rather instantly drawn to that voice, and it takes him a few seconds to get a very Sora-ish 'No way' sort of look off his face. But then he just grins, and scratches the back of his head.] The M.S. Elegante? That rather sounds like the name of a ship.
[A way out? Hm. Serious/concerned face is a go.] Are you saying you're trapped here, then?
no subject
[You can take the youth out of the Sora, but you can't ever quite separate him from the derp. Riku shakes his head, hiding the fact that he's slightly amused.] Yeah, it's a ship. It's supposed to be headed to the Golden Shore, only none of us chose to sail. It's kind of like when your world is taken by the Heartless. There's just no leaving this world for another one.
[Pause.] And you can't die here, either. At least, most people come back.
no subject
You don't say? None of you chose to come aboard? The energy requirements to drag you all across space and time must be staggering, let alone what it would take to keep you here! [Now you've done it; he wants to figure out what's going on.]
[He pauses, and then outright scowls when you mention Heartless--this Sora apparently knows what they are as well. But it's probably a little weird, seeing any Sora look so serious.] There is nothing like losing your world to the Heartless, Riku. I've seen it happen too often to wish it on any planet.
no subject
[The fact that this alternate version of Sora knows the Heartless is interesting; the fact that he's -scowling- like that even moreso. Riku's seen Sora less than happy before, but rarely like this, and never Sora in his twenties. He folds his arms across his chest, shrugging.]
That may be so, but this place follows the pattern. Everybody here's from a different world, and the crew say that we were "saved" by the captain. They say that our worlds are gone--destroyed.
[That sounds a -lot- like losing your world to the Heartless, if you ask him.]
The only difference is that this world seems to be safe from the Heartless, for now.
you did not see the HTML fail
[To him, that sounds nothing like losing your world to the Heartless--though they should really be named something different. Perhaps the Heartless he knows and the ones you know are two completely different things.] I see... a sort of refugee ship, then. That's awfully considerate of this mysterious captain of yours.
[He's actually still rather suspicious, and it's easy to spot in his his tone.] I should hope that this world is safe. I could step back inside the TARDIS and check for any unusual energy spikes just to be certain.
I did not see the HTML fail~ /spellbound
[-That- doesn't sound quite right though, either.]
I doubt that. "Considerate" isn't the best way to describe the captain, if you ask me.
[But then Sora continues, still looking -so odd- being -Sora- and -serious-, and he's mentioning something that Riku's never heard of.]
The TARDIS? What's that?
these are not the droids you are looking for~
[No, 'considerate' probably wouldn't be the best word, if this Sora's hunch proves true. He'll have to snoop around a bit in the ship's records first.]
[Oh, well. He brightens up at that, and the Sora-familiarity is back. You've asked the million-dollar question, Riku. He walks back over to that blue phonebooth-looking thing, and pats it on the side] Ah! This is the TARDIS! Stands for "Time And Relative Dimension In Space"--she's supposed to be an older model, and I haven't quite figured out how to repair the chameleon circuit, but she's still the best ship a Time Lord could ask for.
[Ship? Time Lord? Time and Space--Sora knows big words, too.]
Not the droids I am looking for...
So this thing can move you through time, too, instead of just from place to place?
[Pause. Wait for it...]
And a time lord? Is that what you're supposed to be?
no subject
[He nods again.] That's right. I know, it's a rather arrogant sort of name, but it's what my race collectively called themselves. Time Lords, watching over all of time and space from Gallifrey.
[The grin turns sheepish, and a very Sora-ish gesture is pulled as he scratches the back of his head.] Or at least, that's the sort of legacy I have to live up to! Gallifrey is seems to be trapped behind a time lock, and I have yet to sense any other Time Lords outside of the lock.
no subject
[Like that one paradox, the one where if you went back in time and killed your father? This is a lot to digest, so give him a second to sort it all out.]
So you're the only one right now. Can you undo the lock?
no subject
While the smile remains, it becomes a sadder smile.] Ah... yes, I suppose I would be, wouldn't I? [He shakes his head in reply to the question.] No good, I'm afraid. Events that are locked in time are not only incapable of being traveled to or messing with, but are behind that lock for a reason. I vaguely recall the theory regarding time-locked events--that they're separated from the rest of the timeline for a reason. Whatever this reason might be...
[He has a few ideas, but there were only whispers and recordings that could tell him about the event he thinks is behind that lock.] I'm certain whoever put the lock in place had a good one.
no subject
Well, can't you figure out why? Instead of just accepting it blindly like that?
no subject
Instead of what the legends I keep hearing say of their fate-- of Gallifrey burning in a war I only barely remember hearing the adults whisper of, the Time Lords all dead. [A dark look appears on his face--dark, and more than a little angry, and alien. Something completely non-Sora--and the hints of a forming grief, and hope slowly being lost the more he hears.]
