[Everything's back to normal now. No weird age changes, he's not stuck in some girl's body, and he managed to make it through the past two days without finding himself trapped in someone else's body! All in all, an interesting week. But today something odd is going on--today, there are plenty more people than he's seen on this boat before.]

So where are all these new passengers coming from? There's a lot more than usual. And I thought I saw...

[He trails off. He was fairly sure he'd seen someone who looked just like the girl he'd met at the masquerade... but she'd been -different-, too. It was almost like there were -copies- of people here, too.]

Never mind. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the forest.



[That's where Riku's going to be spending most of his day, but it's not the only place you'll find him. Riku's working on that treehouse again, and so he needs tools. He'll be rummaging through the luggage on deck 12 for nails and a hammer and all sorts of fun things, he'll be outside the forest on deck 3 to take a swim, and later on, he'll be in the caverns, not for any real purpose but instead just to think.

You'll find him anywhere, all over the ship today, so feel free to run into him anywhere!]

[Riku's frowning. He doesn't like this entire people-being-taller-than-him thing. And what does she mean by that?]

[So, the weird whooshing/whirring noise that stops soon after it starts aside, nothing strange going on. Ignore the blue wooden police box.

Though the 20-something appearing Sora walking out of that box wearing the jeans, t-shirt, zip-up hoodie and the red trainers should catch your attention.] Hm... where've we landed this time?

[... and the British accent. WTF, man.]

[Yeah, you see that unimpressed look Riku's shooting you? He is very unimpressed.]

Not very prepared for this, were you?

[And thank goodness for that! Riku was -not- wanting to take a bullet this soon. He gets to his feet, though he's no less wary. This boy's shot at him once already--how does he know he won't do it again?]

Uh. Hi.

Who are you? And why were you following me?

Well, a Tidus is a Tidus, and Riku has no problems with a Tidus!

[Riku stops his rummaging, staring at the boy. He's older, sure, but he's still obviously recognizable as Tidus--and that was the -last- person he expected to find here.]

[Riku pauses in his searching, standing up from a crouch as the police box comes into view. Thaaaaaat's not something you see every day. That's not something he's -ever- seen, actually, and he can't deny that his interest has been piqued by its appearance.

Only then Sora steps out.

Riku scowls, but at the same time--it's -not- Sora, either. That much is obvious from the accent. What is -with- that accent? So instead of shooting off a sarcastic comment like he might have otherwise, Riku rests one hand at his waist.]

The M.S. Elegante. Are you bringing a way out?

[You can take the sarcastic out of the comment, but it still doesn't make you sound any less sardonic, Riku.]

[Tidus kind of just scratches his head, wincing shortly afterward. Ouch~ He's definitely going to have a bruise. But he grins both excitedly and sheepishly all the same.]

No idea! But-- Hey, whoa! What have you been doing the past year? Kairi's been worried sick! [Not. Quite catching onto the younger look yet here. Hey, it's Tidus.]

[He's rather instantly drawn to that voice, and it takes him a few seconds to get a very Sora-ish 'No way' sort of look off his face. But then he just grins, and scratches the back of his head.] The M.S. Elegante? That rather sounds like the name of a ship.

[A way out? Hm. Serious/concerned face is a go.] Are you saying you're trapped here, then?

[Okay, okay, sometimes Tidus's cheer can be infectious. Despite himself, Riku finds himself shaking his head, actually amused.]

What are you talking about? I found Kairi, Tidus. She's been with me the whole time.

[At least, she has been the whole time he's been here on the ship, and he'd found her before he'd come here...]

[ooc: said friend is kind of obsessed with Doctor Who, and so when I cracked up and died because holy crap there is a Time Lord Sora on my post, she flailed and declared it her new head-canon.]


[You can take the youth out of the Sora, but you can't ever quite separate him from the derp. Riku shakes his head, hiding the fact that he's slightly amused.] Yeah, it's a ship. It's supposed to be headed to the Golden Shore, only none of us chose to sail. It's kind of like when your world is taken by the Heartless. There's just no leaving this world for another one.

[Pause.] And you can't die here, either. At least, most people come back.

[Eh, he's seen weirder. Riku pauses for a moment when he sees somebody sitting there, but he won't bother them.]

You another one of the new ones?

[H-Huh? She's going to look up now at the voice. Another one...? She's not the only one that suddenly found themselves here then-- Wait.

He almost didn't recognize him, but the voice... It's younger, but it's familiar all the same. Not to mention the hair. Such a distinct color. Shorter, but otherwise. The coat is gone. And so is the blindfold, which gives her a full on view of his eyes. Clear, bright, and thoughtful. He makes the whole idea of them being 'the windows to one's soul' more than true. She stares at him-- although it's hard to tell that she is under that hood of hers. And then, awkwardly:]

Riku? You're Riku... right?

[Riku wasn't expecting the girl to know his name--he wasn't expecting her to be a -girl-, to be frank. He's a little bit surprised by how many people on this ship seem to know his name, but stranger things have happened!]

[He pauses, and then outright scowls when you mention Heartless--this Sora apparently knows what they are as well. But it's probably a little weird, seeing any Sora look so serious.] There is nothing like losing your world to the Heartless, Riku. I've seen it happen too often to wish it on any planet.

[Riku peers close. It doesn't look like anything he knows... maybe something from when he was little? He has a very faint memory of Selphie playing with them once, but he doesn't know what they are or how they work.]

[The fact that this alternate version of Sora knows the Heartless is interesting; the fact that he's -scowling- like that even moreso. Riku's seen Sora less than happy before, but rarely like this, and never Sora in his twenties. He folds his arms across his chest, shrugging.]

That may be so, but this place follows the pattern. Everybody here's from a different world, and the crew say that we were "saved" by the captain. They say that our worlds are gone--destroyed.

[That sounds a -lot- like losing your world to the Heartless, if you ask him.]

The only difference is that this world seems to be safe from the Heartless, for now.

[Now, that's just not -fair-. What Riku wouldn't do to have Soul Eater back right now... but he's gonna hold his ground, arms folded, though you might notice that he's dropped his center of gravity a little bit--just in case.]

I'd call that counterproductive, is what I'd do.
