[At first, Riku wasn't going to say anything. But being that he is, in fact, an arrogant ~~awesome~~ brat, he can't resist. So when he speaks, you can hear the smirk in his voice.]

Hey. Nice job yesterday, guys. That was a pretty good game.

[And he's even being sincere! How about that.

Riku's a bit bruised up from his bout with Pamela; you won't be able to see the long bruise on his side from where she hit him, but the two dark stripes on his neck from her broom are readily visible, and Riku's not making any attempts to hide them at all. These are his battle scars, his badge of honor; they're something that tells the world that he is one badass kid. Or something, who even really knows.

Riku won't be taking a break though; the game might be over but he's still on the move. You'll be able to find him all over the ship today--he'll be in the forest on deck 3 first, just wandering the forest a bit, then he'll be on deck 12 looking through the luggage for anything that might be helpful in building a tree-house. (Hey, maybe next it'll be a little boat they can sail around the caverns! That might be fun...) He'll be checking out the statue on deck 18 (cautiously, though, things aren't always what they seem), wandering around the flower-field to see if there's actually anything interesting (hey, graves? Hmmm...), and of course hitting up the Coffee Shop for breakfast and later on The Cool and Kuma-Ko for lunch and dinner.

Feel free to run into him anywhere; winning capture the flag has put him in a pretty good mood!]

Is it...?

[She glanced around for a window but her attention was drawn back to Riku.]

I guess my ears and tail give it away, don't they?

[He could sit here forever. But that question does catch Jinx off guard. He puts down his drink before speaking.]

I've known Xanth fer almost as long as I've been here and Kairi a bit less.

[Riku's still not looking at Jinx, still nothing above nonchalance. They could be discussing the weather.]

I'm not talking about them individually. I'm talking about Xanth wanting to take their friendship to a whole different level.

[He's smirking, but it's all good-natured.]

A little bit.

[She sighed.]

Just... something from the game, that's all.

[Not that she was tricked by Reno, but that Pyramid... She didn't like being in there.]

[Jinx will keep his focus on Riku for just a bit longer before turning back to the real reason he came down here.]

A few months, three maybe. Noticed somethin' was up back on th' island.

Maybe, but I could be the same me, too. If you don't know, isn't it better to give people hope that the people who leave are still alive?

[You'd better -believe- he's thinking about the conversation he had with Kairi right now. She'd been upset thinking that Sora had died--and even if he had even if Riku didn't care if he had, it was still better to see Kairi hopeful.]

You mean like the flower deck, or the caverns. Right? Things that can't logically be a part of a ship but are somehow here.

*Marco closes his eyes and shakes his head*

False hope can be a harmful thing.

*He sighs and opens his eyes again, nodding a bit*

[Riku leans back against the statue again, folding his arms.]

So what do you think this place is, then?

*Marco just shrugs again to the statement. His response to the question comes without thought*

Or it might as well be, since we can't leave. As for something more defined than that...I've no idea. It might even be its own world for all I know.

[Riku's going to stop sorting through the suitcase now, instead coming over to lounge on the floor near Cat--this is gonna take a bit longer than he'd expected, since she's beating around the bush so much. He's imagining that it's not the fact that their team lost--most people would get over that fairly easily. So...]

Yeah? What part of it?

[His expression is half-grin, half-smirk, and his tone is teasing.]

It's not that I wouldn't hold hands with you, right?

Hmm.

[Well, that's that. Jinx has been successfully distracted--at least for the time being. Riku's going to go back to breakfast now 'kay.]

Yup.

[Well that was weird. Jinx scarfs the rest of his bagel and looks ahead.]

[She blinked and shook her head.]

No, its not that. It was after that, when Reno came to rescue you.

[The mage made a triangle with her fingers, just using the thumb and index fingers of both hands.]

After he used that... ability of his that locked me inside a cage.

[She barely knows Riku but here she is, opening up to him like he was a good friend.]

[Ouch. Riku doesn't wince, but he comes quite close--hadn't he thought of his own island that way? Nice, now he's going to be chafing a bit under the feeling of being trapped here again.

Still, "its own world"... But Riku remembers the way Marco reacted the last time they talked, so he won't be offering that much.]

Maybe it is. There are a lot of worlds out there.

[Zuko's headed to Kuma-Ko, having not yet seen the sushi-making bears. He's hungry, and he needs a distraction, and he suspects that the bears might do the trick.

When he arrives, he notices Riku at one of the tables and he recognizes him as the other captain in capture the flag. Zuko's still smarting over that defeat, and while he's not usually the kind to be social at all, he knows Sokka respects Riku, so he might as well give him a chance.

So, after a moment's hesitation, he goes and sits down by Riku.]

Hey.

*Misery loves company?*

Apparently. I don't think any of us can really tell with this place yet, though. If its its own world, and Redd's really in control of it...I don't really like the picture that paints, but its one of the possiblities.

[Well, teasing's out. Cat had barely seemed to notice the jibe. Riku's not sure why she's opening up to him like this--it would have been easy for her to say she didn't want to talk about it. And he would have let it be! He's not -used- to people opening up to him; ever since he'd left the islands the closest he gotten to other people was when he'd -retrieved- Jasmine from Agrabah. And he certainly hadn't wanted to know anything about her then.

Being confided in is an entirely new experience for Riku. He's only used to Kairi doing that, and he's not quite sure how to react to Catpaw's words.]

But it was all part of the game, right?

[Victory is his! Riku finishes the rest of his breakfast in silence, then stands and heads for the exit. Later, Jinx! ~~Maybe idk~~]

Yes but, it brought back some unpleasant memories.

[She finally realizes what she's saying and her ears fold back.]

I'm sorry, you probably don't want to hear any of this. I'm distracting you.

...She never used any.

[WTF just happened? Jinx finishes his food and goes back to his room totally confused.]

...seriously?

[Well jeez Marco, aren't you a little happy rainbow in a stormy day.]

If this ship is its own world, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. But even if Redd is in control of the world, he's got weaknesses.
