[At first, Riku wasn't going to say anything. But being that he is, in fact, an arrogant ~~awesome~~ brat, he can't resist. So when he speaks, you can hear the smirk in his voice.]

Hey. Nice job yesterday, guys. That was a pretty good game.

[And he's even being sincere! How about that.

Riku's a bit bruised up from his bout with Pamela; you won't be able to see the long bruise on his side from where she hit him, but the two dark stripes on his neck from her broom are readily visible, and Riku's not making any attempts to hide them at all. These are his battle scars, his badge of honor; they're something that tells the world that he is one badass kid. Or something, who even really knows.

Riku won't be taking a break though; the game might be over but he's still on the move. You'll be able to find him all over the ship today--he'll be in the forest on deck 3 first, just wandering the forest a bit, then he'll be on deck 12 looking through the luggage for anything that might be helpful in building a tree-house. (Hey, maybe next it'll be a little boat they can sail around the caverns! That might be fun...) He'll be checking out the statue on deck 18 (cautiously, though, things aren't always what they seem), wandering around the flower-field to see if there's actually anything interesting (hey, graves? Hmmm...), and of course hitting up the Coffee Shop for breakfast and later on The Cool and Kuma-Ko for lunch and dinner.

Feel free to run into him anywhere; winning capture the flag has put him in a pretty good mood!]

*Marco considers for a moment, then comes up with another question instead of a real answer. He doesn't bother to hide the fact that he's watching Riku's responses to this veryvery carefully.*

Why the hell would you want to watch the Captain vivisect someone, Riku?

[Riku won't answer right away, instead looking close at her.]

Why aren't you in your room? You didn't lose your key, did you?

[Okay, well, maybe he's not -entirely- minus the snark...]

[So that's what it is. No wonder Kairi was so shaken up by it.

Riku knows that Marco's looking for a reaction, so he. Won't. Give one. But there's a hint of understanding in his eyes if you look close enough, the idea that Riku's no stranger to horrific things. When he speaks, his voice is both hard and level.]

I have to know what this man is capable of.

[She dug in to her pockets for the item and held it out. It read: deck 12, room 1251.

She wasn't in her traditional Red Mage gear either today, more of a grey-ish doublet assamble.]

[It's not asked meanly--Riku is genuinely curious.]

*The lack of reaction said enough for Marco. He shakes his head*

Look back at his entries over shipNET. That will tell you just as much, if not more, about what Redd's capable of.

*No matter how bad-ass Riku thinks he is, Marco's not letting him watch it. Marco thought he was over being put off by violence, but the video had still shaken him.
Though he wouldn't try to stop Riku from finding it elsewhere, though he might just say 'I told you so' afterwards.*

Though nothing really tells us everything the Captain's capable of. I doubt we'll ever know the full capacity of his powers...at least not if he has something to say about it.

[Foiled. Riku scowls, but he won't argue. There are plenty of people on this ship, and he'll be able to find it somewhere.]

Even if we'll never know everything, I still want to know as much as I can.

[He's sick of not controlling his own life. Even in Hollow Bastion, Maleficent still told him where to go and what to do--and never knowing the full story has been grating on him.]

I'll look at his entries, but I'll dig up whatever else is out there, too.

*Marco nods. He's got similar sentiments there...on both the 'knowing as much as I can' and 'not in control of my life,' really.*

[If Marco's well-wishing didn't seem totally sincere, neither did Riku's gratitude. But he -does- appreciate the fact that the man didn't try to warn him off.

Riku glances to one side, somewhat sullen, then looks back to Marco.]

While we're here. Is there anything else I should know about this ship? Things other people might have forgotten to mention?

[Stuff the rest of the passengers would rather forget, he means.]

*Marco watches Riku for a moment before replying*

That the ship is one big illusion, our worlds have been destroyed, and anyone who leaves dies.

*He waits a couple seconds to see if Riku reacts before continuing*

Of course we can neither prove nor disprove the last two, so they might not be true.

[She put her key away and stretched a bit with closed eyes, once she was done she re-opens her eyes. The Mithra glances over over to her door with a frown.]

I felt like sleeping outside, its been a while since I've done that.

[Although something was obviously up, easily given away by her tail and ear motions.]

[A good mood, huh? Allow Jinx to completely ruin that for you. Jinx just so happened to be walking into the coffee shop when Riku was there.

Jinx welcomes himself to the seat next to the boy and orders a drink.]

[Riku won't outright call her on her bluff, but he -will- give her that unimpressed look of his. It's okay, he'll wait!]

Yeah, good game, good game. You got me back.

[He's in too good of a mood to sound bitter.]

[Oh, gods, here we go again. Riku only -just- keeps himself from turning his eyes to the ceiling, instead focusing on his breakfast.

You want to antagonize him, Jinx? He's not going to make it easy for you.]

[Antagonizing him was actually on the top of his 'to do' list for the day. Also, not looking at Jinx will not make him go away.

Jinx's coffee and bagel almost magically appear in front of him. Jinx is going to make sure that Riku knows that he is there by slurping the coffee very very loudly.]

[Riku laughs.]

Yeah, well, you made some good choices yourself. Picking Pamela was a smart move.

[YES he will continue to be surprised by her for a while jeez okay.]

*Marco shakes his head*

Doesn't mean anything. You could just be a different 'you' than the one who was here before.

I mean is not really a ship, just like the sky isn't really what we see it as. That one fits the best, given how so much on this ship doesn't 'fit' for a ship. Or, really, anything.

Well, I mean, other than the magic, she's really eager, so...

[But yes, he'll take that free ego fluff, thank you!]

[Who is that in the forest Riku? Is that your friend from home? Oh hey it is! And she has a stick.

Kairi's standing on an almost-flat rock, trying to work her way through some poorly-remembered moves with a make-shift quarterstaff. She is quite clearly not very good; the motions aren't nearly fluid enough and she's not moving her feet at all. She also doesn't look like she's enjoying herself very much; she's frowning and glaring at an invisible opponent.

She hasn't noticed Riku.]

Yes! I am -- well was an adventurer before I arrived on this boat.

[Oh there goes her ears, folding down as she looks at her hands.]

I've spent several nights sleeping outside, so I'm used to it.

[Although this is the middle of the day, most likely. She sighs and looks over.]
